Professor and Director of Clinical Research at Touro University California College of Osteopathic MedicineBiography
Dr. Clipper Young, PharmD, is a Full Professor and Director of Clinical Research at Touro University California College of Osteopathic Medicine.
A clinical pharmacist specializing in diabetes and cardiometabolic care, he leads community programs such as the Pharm2Home Initiative and conducts outcomes and population health research using datasets like NHANES.
His scholarship spans diabetes technology, telehealth, and the integration of generative AI into care delivery. He serves in national leadership roles with the American Diabetes Association, the Association of Diabetes Care & Education Specialists, and the American College of Diabetology Academy of Pharmacists.
He is a contributor to the ADA’s “Standards of Care for Patients.” Recently, he participated in an expert video series on hypercortisolism in difficult-to-treat type 2 diabetes. His work centers on pragmatic, team-based models that enhance equity, quality, and healthcare outcomes.
