Katie was born and raised in Sacramento and has developed a deep passion for community health and social services starting at a young age. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Sociology with a minor in Psychology from California State University, Sacramento, before going on to complete her Master of Social Work at San Jose State University. In 2015, Katie became a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
With extensive experience in individual and group psychotherapy, trauma-informed care, harm reduction, and program development, Katie has dedicated her career to improving access to mental health services and creating supportive, effective programs for underserved populations. She is particularly driven by the challenge of thinking creatively to meet patients where they are and helping them navigate their unique paths to care and recovery.
Katie relocated to Redding from the Bay Area in 2020 with her husband in search of a more balanced lifestyle. Outside of her professional work, she enjoys traveling, hiking, discovering new foods, and spending quality time with her family.
